FAQ

Common questions about betlana.

Can I lose more than I bet?

No. Your maximum loss on any coupon is exactly the stake you committed at submission. The LP takes the stake if any leg loses; you are never liable for more than that amount.

What if the LP can't pay me immediately?

Your stake is escrowed with the coupon and never enters the LP, so on a win your principal is refunded immediately regardless of LP health. If the LP cannot cover your profit (or earlier winners are already queued), the full profit enters the FIFO payout queue. Queued profit pays out automatically as future user losses refill the LP, with no action required from you.

When do I receive my winnings?

If the LP is solvent, settlement is immediate once all legs resolve. If any portion is queued, a permissionless harvest keeper processes the queue as funds arrive; payouts are ordered strictly by queue position.

What backs $BET's value?

$BET is a claim on LP revenue. Staked $BET earns a continuous share of the LP's income (a cut of each settled loss) plus any LP balance that exceeds the $5M staker reward cap. The token has no pre-mint, no team allocation, and no airdrop; supply grows only from losing trades.

Is there a lockup period for staking?

No. Staking and unstaking are instant with no cooldown or lockup. Accrued USDC dividends are claimable on demand at any time.

How is coupon pricing determined?

Each leg's odds are aggregated from 3rd party providers and read by the on-chain program when the Jito bundle is included.

What is a "leg"?

A leg is a single prediction market bet: one market, one side, one implied probability. A coupon combines up to 4 legs; the coupon's odds are the product of each leg's odds.

What happens if a leg voids on a Betlana market?

The voided leg drops out of the coupon. The coupon settles on the remaining legs at their original odds. If all legs void, the coupon is refunded at stake.

Can I edit a coupon after placing it?

No. Once the Jito bundle lands, the coupon is final. You cannot add or remove legs, change your stake, or partially close.

Are there any trading fees?

No fee is charged on placing a bet. The protocol's revenue is the house edge embedded in the LP's counterparty position; there is no explicit spread or fee deducted from your stake or payout.
